Migration Blog

Every month the Migration crew will be visiting a different brewery.  We decided to start with Portland icon Bridgeport Brewing down in the old Pearl District.  Bridgeport has been making beers since the mid 1980's and has always been considered one of the regions most successful founding craft breweries.  Head Brewer Jeff Edgerton took us on an extended tour of the 20,000sf facility, including the chemistry lab and extensive bottling line.  

It was amazing to see such a large scale operation and to hear about the challenges and extreme focus on making clean, consistent beers.  We appreciate Bridgeport's awesome hospitality and look forward to returning the favor at Migration (even if our tour is a little shorter)!

Last weekend was the Buckman-Kerns Brewfest at Eastburn and according to the people's choice, Migration Brewing came out on top!  We represented with a sneak peak of our Black Hearted CDA, the trusty Old Silenus and Luscious Lupulin IPA. 

This was a great event that featured Lucky Labrador Brewing, Coalition Brewing, Natian Brewery, Buckman Brewing, Cascade Brewing Barrel House and Burnside Brewing.  We were happy to participate for the second year in a row and  look forward to continuing our support of local community events!

The Blazers are off to a hot 4-1 start and are taking the league by storm!  Come enjoy the action at the pub and cheer on the home team during our Rip City happy hour.  This Thursday is a big game versus our west coast rival the Los Angeles Lakers, tip off is 7:30pm and specials run throughout the game!

It's go time!  After a tumultous and frustrating NBA lockout, the Blazers are back in action!  Migration will be showing all games and of course be supporting the local team with our Rip City happy hour!  Come join us for the first game of the season coming up this Monday (12/26) at 7pm.  We will also be tapping a special release nitro, vanilla bean infused imperial stout for the game.  The last time we put the vanilla on it sold out in hours, so get here early and be ready to cheer on the Blazers!
